Project Description

Project Overview: A development project to deliver 14 supported living units in an edge of town setting, as part of a wider health and care community masterplan.

These specially designed new homes were requested by Kent County Council (KCC) to help address the acute shortage of suitable homes for supported living in the county, and to enable adults with care and support needs to live more independent and fulfilling lives. Priority access is assured for locals. The building is designed for enhanced energy efficiency, meaning reduced energy bills for tenants.

A private courtyard development of 8 x 1-bed ground floor flats and 6 x 1-bed bungalows for adults with learning disabilities and/or autistic adults. Each flat and bungalow has its own private garden space. Dedicated on-site staff/office space for tenant safety and support. Level access throughout. Assistive technology enabled.

The site is well-located within a 10-minute walk of a thriving town centre, within a 2-minute walk of public transport, and with access to green spaces nearby.

Coral Role: Full end-to-end role. Originate project, validate need, source site, identify parties, construct commercial terms, develop design brief/options, submit a planning application. Act locally with Master Developer/Fund on mobilisation, construction, and delivery

Outcome: Planning permission successfully achieved. Project on-going
